Djinahzone(RetroBlast)
Djinahzone owns the secret of reduction. Where others claim to discover the "Minimal"-hype-process without coming to asingle point of clarity, this producer from Minneapolis demonstrates it by simply going back to the very roots, means: the specific, timeless Detroit basics. Warm, deep, reduced beats, JUAN ATKINS-sound-references, smoothy atmosphere.Nothing breaks out here, everything flows, behavesto each other balanced-homogeneous and varies only in decent, controlled modulation- and filter phases and volume shifts. This is how the big ones do it!

Craig Kilohertz
Experimental Electronica and its certain problems. "Students-Techno" or "Head-Music" are only excerpts of the stigmatas, which many creativeelectronic-producers and sound-researchers non-focused necessarily on the dancefloor are often confronted with. CRAIG KILOHERTZ hands a compromise with "circuit Breaker" straight out the IDM drawer, but also rocks all the way from the head to the center of the body. Dark, weird digital SCI-FI ambience, industrial sound bits and cool, apokalyptic spheres under the surface. Very concisely and extremely original the way the man works with unforeseeable speed changes and breaks in the structure, without letting the track loose its direction. The musical abilities, the technical skills and the feeling for dramaturgy and tension of CRAIG KILOHERTZ - simplyoutstanding, no question about that. Open minded music for open minded people.
